Claudine Barretto is thankful to Raymart Santiago for a happy family life

• Two and a half years after tying the knot, Claudine Barretto admits that she is still enjoying marital bliss with husband Raymart Santiago. The two keep a happy home with their four year old daughter Sabina and one year old son Santino, whom they lovingly call “Bugoy.” After her return to primetime via the top-rating drama series Iisa Pa Lamang, Claudine says that balancing her career and family was not as hard as she initially thought it would be. “I think the successful balancing of everything can really be attricuted doon sa partnership namin ni Raymart. Kasi talagang super nakatutok siya sa mga anak namin. We also make it a point na we really made sure na magkaroon kami ng time together as a family. Pareho kaming MWF lang na nagwo-work. On those days, we also make sure na either Kuya Rowell or my mother-in-law will be in the house to bring the kids out of the house para may kasama. We also both have a cut-off time from work because of them,” she shares.

• The 29-year-old actress also shares that she has no regrets about getting all domesticated at this point in her career. “There was no difficulty at all. With a wonderful husband like Raymart, talagang it wasn’t at all difficult to transition from being single,” she happily says. The proud mom couldn’t help but say how happy she is with her two kids. “Sabina is in kinder at the international school. Sobrang talino. Sobra sobra talaga. Last week, it just took her five minutes to finish her exams. Me and Raymart called her teacher up and very very good daw siya,” she proudly shares. When it comes to her toddler Santino, Claudine gives us the low-down on his progress. “Right now, Santino likes to run after his cousins now. Akala niya naman kasing laki niya yung mga yun. We call him Bugoy, kasi he’s sobrang talkative. He loves to play. Parang lalaking lalaki talaga. Macho. Pag may nakikitang babaing maganda na dumadaan, hahabulin niya talaga. Kakausapin niya kahit na nagmu-mumble lang siya. And marami na syang words na sinasabi. He’s also very tall for his age, she adds.

• Right now, Claudine admits that she feels happy and content with the way her personal and professional life is going. “I think the best thing about being a mom right now is that I have the best of both worlds. I’m enjoying myself. It’s not hard at all. I’ve adjusted to it well,” she admits. With regards to Iisa Pa Lamang, the beautiful actress also shares some things to look out for. “Expect more nice dialogue, more nice clothes and siyempre, mas madaming twists and turns. Mas pagagandahin pa naming para sa mga tao. Kasi sobrang overwhelming yung support nila. Talagang maraming salamat sa mga tumatangkilik sa amin. Hindi naming kayo bibiguin,” she concludes.
