- Former actress Nadia Montenegro, finally broke her long silence on The Buzz yesterday (September 28) and answered all the issues she is faced with. "I'm doing this for my children, for (my husband) Boy (Asistio), for my mom for my family and for my name," Nadia stressed.
- Nadia is now being accused by controversial manager Rose Flaminiano as the one who influenced her talent Gabby Concepcion to raise issues about his contract. She denied the accusation, explaining that she is just Gabby's good friend and never meddled with the actor's business affairs. Nadia even said that she feels a finger was pointed at her because Rose felt threatened with her and Gabby’s closeness. She then advised Mommy Rose to just stick with the issues she’s dealt with. "Huwag mo nang ilihis ang issue," Nadia stressed. "Harapin mo. Kung sinasabi mong anak mo si Gabby, bakit mo siya idinidemanda? Bakit mo siya ipakukulong. Walang ina na gusto ang ganon. Walang hindi makukuha sa magandang usapan, pero ayaw mo. Dinamay mo pa ko. Alam mo wala akong kinalaman dito, alam mo kung saan ka nagkamali…"
- Nadia then named Cristy Fermin as the one allegedly responsible for convincing Mommy Rose to think that she has "brainwashed" Gabby. Nadia also said that it was Cristy's fault why her friendship with best friend Gretchen Barretto ended. It can be recalled that some months ago, the former friends had a big rift because Nadia was rumored to have spread a text message saying Gretchen was allegedly having an affair with a businessman. Nadia and Gretchen never got to resolve the gap, resulting to the end of their friendship. "Seven months ago, I lost a very good friend. I lost her because of intrigues. I lost her because of Cristy Fermin, who until this day has not proven that text message that she told Gretchen that I sent to the media and to all the reporters.” Nadia still hopes that eventually she and Gretchen will make up someday. "Until this day, I just really hope she finds out the truth. I never did anything to hurt her because I don't want to lose another friend because of Cristy's lies."
- Nadia said that because of the intrigues, her mother got so affected and was rushed to the hospital. She said that her children are also hurt because of the issues. "Pag pamilya mo na ang tinatapakan, I have to be the mother that I am. Sana naman huwag nilang ipagkait sa akin 'yon na nakapaglalakad ang mga anak ko na nakataas ang noo. Because there's one thing I know I am, I'm a very good mother." She said that many people have given her advice to keep quiet because Cristy would not stop from ruining her name but she just could not stand it anymore. "Hindi titigil si Cristy Fermin. Hindi siya tumigil. Wala kaming laban. As media, she can write about everything," explained Nadia, also accusing the columnist of ruining the reputation of other celebrities.
- She also told The Buzz host Boy Abunda that she could not think of anything wrong she did towards Cristy. "Sobra na siya. Wala akong natatandaan na ginawa sa kanya. Siguro wala lang siyang napapakinabangan sa akin dahil hindi ako magbabayad para lang purihin niya ako," she elaborated. She further explained that she has nothing to gain for speaking out but also nothing to lose so she finally decided to defend herself. “Pumunta ako dito kasi alam ko ng wala nang mawawala sa akin. For seven months tinira mo ako di ko na aantayin na maging isang Mayor JV Ejercito ako, maging isang Piolo na tinira mo ng ilang taon, lahat halos ng artista dito di makakibo, di makalaban. Pero ako walang mawawala. Di ko gustong bumalik sa showbiz. Sana pagkatapos nito itigil mo na. At sa lahat ng nakapaligid kay Cristy, yung mga tumatawag sa asawa ko, na sinasabing bakit ko sila dinadawit, dahil masyado ninyo na akong inapi. Isang beses pa akong makarinig na sinisiraan ninyo ako, ibubulgar ko lahat.”
